The coupon rate depends on what you buy. These are the rates printed on the coupon:
- Home appliances, cameras, watches, toys7% off
- Medicines, cosmetics, daily necessities5% off
- Japanese sake3% off
On top of that comes tax-free shopping, which removes the 10% consumption tax for travellers with a foreign passport — 8% on some items. At the best rate, the two together come to up to 17% off.
Where it works
BicCamera stores nationwide, and Kojima stores under the same group. Both chains accept the same coupon.
The coupon is valid on tax-free purchases only, so bring your passport. Alcohol has to be paid for at a designated check-out counter.
What's not included
Worth checking before you join the queue. The following are excluded, among others:
- Apple genuine products
- Non-Japanese brand watches, and Grand Seiko
- Game consoles and their genuine accessories, game software, PlayStation VR, Meta Quest
- Selected Panasonic, DJI and FUJIFILM products
- Selected alcohol such as whisky
- Outlet products and second-hand products
Japanese sake qualifies for 3% off, excluding Dassai and Hakkaisan. The coupon cannot be combined with other campaigns, discounts or coupons. BicCamera can change these terms without notice — ask in store if you are unsure.
